Jacob Phaneuf is competing in the IRONMAN Lake Placid triathlon to help raise money for the Adirondack Scholarship Foundation.
Jacob, a former camper and counselor at Pok-O-MacCready Camps, knows the importance of getting outside and being active. A track star in high school in Plattsburgh, New York, Jacob went on to be on the triathlon teams at UCLA, Stanford, and Georgia Tech. He has done four 70.3 mile races, including the IRONMAN Lake Placid 70.3, but this will be his first attempt at the full IRONMAN.
The 2025 IRONMAN Lake Placid will be held on July 20 and consists of a 2.4-mile swim in Mirror Lake, a 112-mile bike through the Adirondack Mountains, and a 26.2-mile run around Lake Placid.
Jacob appreciates the support being shown to him in his efforts to help raise awareness of the Adirondack Scholarship Foundation and our mission to help send kids to camp.
