The Neal Andrews Memorial Scholarship

Starting in 2019, The Adirondack Scholarship Foundation is pleased to be awarding the Neal Andrews Memorial Scholarship. This allocation comes thanks to a record donation made on behalf of the Estate of Neal Andrews, who passed away in 2016. Among other activities, Andrews was involved with creating a program for refugee families, assisting them with housing, schooling and, most relevant, sending children to summer camp. "I can't begin to express what an extraordinary gesture this was," stated ASF director Tim Singer. "This is, by far, the biggest donation we've ever received. It absolutely validates what the summer camp experience, and our foundation's mission, is all about!"
As stipulated in Andrews bequeath, the annual scholarship, or scholarships, will be awarded to children for whom English is not their native language. The gift is earmarked for children to attend Pok-O-MacCready Camps.
