Adirondack Scholarship Foundation, Inc. - Application for Financial Aid
Please read instructions carefully prior to downloading application!
Below, please find links to the 2020 scholarship application and confidential reference form. There is only one application, no matter how many children are applying. The application must be printed, filled out, and mailed to the foundation. Two reference forms - per child - should be printed and given to people outside of your family who know your child well. One of these should go to a teacher.
Support for scholarships comes from alumni, friends, corporate giving, foundations, and our endowment. There are a limited number of scholarships awarded each year by the Adirondack Scholarship Foundation. Alternatively, you may link to a separate application for a $1000 tuition stipend. This is a shorter form, a less involved screening process, and constitutes a much greater chance of gaining approval. References will also be required for the stipend.
All forms must be submitted to the Foundation by January 13, 2020. Late applications will receive - at best - lesser consideration and, at worst, no consideration. The Board will be meeting soon thereafter to determine the 2020 budget and will make its decision by the second week in March.
Should your application be accepted, Your name will be forwarded to the camp Director, who will send you all of the information needed for camp enrollment. If you are planning to enroll your child into Pok-O-MacCready Camps regardless of whether or not you receive aid, we encourage you to secure your spot by contacting info@pokomac.com or 518-963-7656.
While I will not be making decisions regarding the awarding of scholarships (this is left entirely up to the board), I am happy to address any procedural questions or concerns you have. You can contact me HERE, or by phone HERE.
Sincerely,
Tim Singer
Executive Director
