FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Willsboro, June 2008-- In it’s ninth year as a fund raising event, the Patch Sprint continues to grow in terms of both participation and income generated.

This year’s reunion, race and trek was attended by over 150 Pok-O-MacCready campers, staff, alumni and friends, who helped to raise $6,080 for the Adirondack Scholarship Foundation.  “It’s the biggest single fund raiser camp has staged to date,” said Tim Singer, Executive Director of the Foundation and co-coordinator of the event.  “We appreciate everyone’s participation and generosity.”  The giving included a $2,500 donation from the family trust of one former camper. The race winners, Jason Fiegl and Sheila Mulherin, are both former Pok-O-MacCready Outdoor Education Center staff members.  It was Fiegl’s fifth overall title.
