Fund Raising Activities

They’ve become Pok-O-MacCready traditions:  Fun, popular reunions designed to bring friends and family together, as well as raise funds for the Adirondack Scholarship Foundation.

Remember:  You don’t have to attend to make a donation... and you don’t have to donate to attend.

The Patch Sprint

May 26, 2012

This annual adventure race over the Pok-O Patch mountains also serves as a reunion of camp friends of all ages.

There are divisions for hard core racers, novice and intermediate runners, volunteers, children and trekkers who would like to walk the course. All proceeds go to the Adirondack Scholarship Foundation; In 2011, over $8,000 was raised by the 180+ participants. Held in conjunction with the semi-annual alumni work weekend, the Patch Sprint also hosts a pre-race pasta supper, a race expo, merchandise, a post-race awards party and an auction.

August 19, 2012

Held in conjunction with Pok-O-MacCready Family Camp (August 17-21), the 46-in-a-Day is Pok-O-MacCready’s annual challenge to have a member of the camp family on top of the 46 peaks over 4000 feet in the Adirondacks!   Over 200 climbers, supporters and donors have taken part in over the past four years, raising over $18,000. Hike... Donate based on mountains climbed... or better yet, both!
