2008 Scholarships Awarded

   Members of the Adirondack Scholarship Foundation’s Board of Directors gathered in early March to make final decisions on the giving out of scholarships for the 2008 camp season.

   “We had a lot of great candidates, including several outstanding campers from the past few years,” stated Jack Swan. Added board member John Andrews, “There were a lot of applicants but, in the end, nearly everyone received at least a partial scholarship.”

   According to Swan, over 20 scholarships, totaling over $50,000 was given out “That’s a big amount of money to give away for such a small camp, and in these tough economic times.

   “We wouldn’t be able to be in this nice position had it not been for the donations from our alumni and our fund raising activities.”
